PHOBOS Video Bridge is a compact autonomous video server controlled
by an Embedded Linux operating system.
The PHOBOS VideoBridge
video server is designed for recording and
monitoring of analogue video and audio signals. It can operate
autonomously, or as a remote recording device as a part of a PHOBOS
system.
In the autonomous mode,
video and audio information is recorded on its own hard disk. In the
latter case, control over the server and its video and audio data
transmission is
done via local network.
Distinctive features:
Small size
Low power consumption
Ability to operate in extreme conditions
Rapid deployment and ease of servicing.
High quality synchronised recording of video and audio data
Typical Uses
Motor vehicles: police patrol
cars, public transportation,
school buses
-
Security systems in air
transportation (e.g. aeroplanes,
helicopters) as a highly reliable black box that can endure
extreme temperatures, pressure, and impact load
-
Security systems on railways
and metros as a small vandal-proof
black box enduring extreme impact loads and vibration
-
Standalone vandal-proof video
recording systems in government offices
offices or on unguarded areas in schools, hospitals,
nurseries , doorways, garages and escalators
-
Autonomous video recording
systems on technical installations
such as petrol stations, and production departments with
aggressive environments
-
Remote autonomous technical
installations such as mobile
communication provider nodes, radio relay stations, oil and gas
compressor stations, high-voltage substations and power grids.
-
Sea and river infrastructure
objects: lighthouses, radio relays.
-
Covert Surveillance, easy to
hide, catch vandals, fly tippers etc.
